Breathtaking Adventures in Bohol

Yes, it is true… we went back to Bohol but it’s totally different this time.  We went to Danao Adventure Park, stayed overnight on a beach resort in Panglao and went to an island hopping.   It is really fun!

Danao Adventure Park with E.A.T. Danao, where EAT stands for Extreme/Eco/Educational Adventure Tour.  It is an  eco-adventure tourism concept set up to benefit the municipality of Danao, Bohol and its people.  The tour involves responsible tour of Danao’s God-given gifts.  It is the town’s major task to conserve these gifts and enhance them to sustain the well-being of all its constituents.   Activities that EAT Danao offers are as follows:

  • –> Caving
  • –> Suisliding
  • –> Rappelling
  • –> Root Climbing
  • –> Wall Climbing
  • –> River Trekking
  • –> Bouldering
  • –> Kayaking
  • –> River Tubing
  • –> Village Tour Organic Farm Visitation
  • –> Sky Ride
  • –> Plunge

Unfortunately we had not tried all of these activities as we do not have enough time.  My friends went ahead to try the Suislide or simply known as zipline. This is the highest and longest zipline in the country.  It is  480 meters to cross the other side and has a height altitude of 200 meters from the ground.  It is consisting of a pulley suspended on a cable mounted on an incline cliff.  This ride cost 350Php.

We also tried kayaking which cost 250/person and caving for 350/person.   For both of these activities there will be a person in-charged that will serve as your tour guide.

If you are a very adventurous person and would like to try a fear factor experience take a plunge.  In the Plunge aperson would have to do a 45 meters free fall before being launched on a pendulum swing measuring to a hundred meter diameter.  This experience is one great way to de-stress and even make one appreciate life the more.  This cost 700Php.  I like the concept but I will never dare to try this. On the next day, we went to an island hopping and had our lunch at Balicasag Island.   We were just  not lucky enough to catch the dolphins, however, we still enjoyed the clear  blue water, the white sand,  fishes  and star fishes, and most especially the cool breeze of the sea.   Around noon, we already went back to Panglao to pack up and be back to Cebu as we all had a work on the next day.

This adventure was so much fun.  I am hoping that soon I could go back to these places and experience much more the adventures in Bohol.
